Sacred Heart Academy is a very special place. The Catholic faith is truly the center of the Academy, as every day begins with mass. Every day! There is ample opportunity for confession and adoration on a weekly basis. As Catholic parents, our duty is to raise our children in the faith with the hope and eventual goal of them obtaining heaven. I feel strongly that SHA will help my children achieve this!

Reflecting on my experience at Sacred Heart Academy, I find it fitting that I enrolled—though I knew almost nothing about liberal arts education—at the invitation of a friend. The Classical Enrichment Courses that I took my junior and senior years of high school prompted my first serious “intellectual awakening.” When I try to discern why, I can only point to the fact that I saw the ideals of “virtue” and “contemplation” were embodied not just in the curriculum but in the ordinary habits and dispositions of the teachers, staff and students.

The Sacred Heart alumna in my classes exemplified a profound devotion to the pursuit of truth and goodness. Alongside her extraordinary talents and rich preparation for college-level work, she was always humble and teachable. She was a genuine source of joy for so many students and professors at Hillsdale.
