The Office of Discernment and Formation (formerly Guidance Counseling) at Sacred Heart Academy helps high school students grow in self-knowledge, make the most of their formative time at the Academy, and discover God’s will for their lives after graduation. Whether students are pursuing college, vocational training, military, or a religious vocation, we walk with them through the entire process, helping them to make their next phase of life both satisfying and God-honoring.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT TESTING…
Full-time students registering for the SAT or ACT should use the Sacred Heart Academy school identification code: 230-852. CEC students should use the universal homeschool codes: 970-000 for the SAT and 969-999 for the ACT.Upper School Standardized Test Schedule
Parents of 7th through 12th grade, please mark your calendars with important test dates noted on the Upper School Standardized Test Schedule 2022-23 All tests will take place in Cebelak Hall, beginning directly after mass. The tests usually finish by noon. CEC students should contact Mrs. DenBraber at adenbraber@shgr.org if they would like to sit in on any PSAT test.
**All parents with children in grades 7-12 will need to create an account for each of their children with The Classic Learning Test (CLT). This is a two step process:

- to create the CLT account, and
- to provide ODF with login information, which is needed to register students for the CLT suite of tests.

Practice Tests – A reminder to Juniors – practice tests for the PSAT/NMSQT can be found here.
Seniors and Juniors, CLT practice tests can be accessed through your CLT account. Students can also check out CLT Study Guides, with practice tests, from the library. One important suggestion to improve your score is to spend time focusing on “Areas of Improvement”.
