Mary Baxter

Catechesis of the Good Shepard Teacher

Mrs. Baxter is a native of west Michigan and loves it here.  Grand Rapids is her hometown & permanent residence however her and her husband  spend much more time at the lakeshore. 

Mrs. Baxter was awarded a Bachelor of Science  in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement (ZA)  from Central Michigan University.  Her studies led her to major in Early Childhood Development and minors in Reading and Mathematics, pre-k through 8th grade. She also earned a Master of Reading degree from Grand Valley State University. Mrs. Baxter is a Certified CGS Catechist, Levels  I & II and has taught various ages and subjects in ages 3 through 6th grade for the better part of 15 years. It was here that she first encountered Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. A parent catechist gave her a copy of The Cenacle (Last Supper) presentation and she was absolutely enthralled. She has been married for 30 years and is a mom of 3. She loves to play tennis, pickleball, golf, exploring the shores of Lake Michigan for rocks, reading and gardening.
