The Sacred Heart Academy Annual Fund
Sacred Heart Academy exists because of families who put Catholic education first.
Sacred Heart accepts absolutely no government funds.
Unlike many private schools, including most Catholic schools, Sacred Heart refuses all government funding, minimizing the government overreach which provides direct threats to our Gospel mission. In our efforts to protect our work, our students, and our families, we pass up hundreds of thousands of dollars each year. We believe that there is another way to serve those in our community and preserve our inheritance.
Patronis Cordis: Our Promise to You
As we strive to serve families and cultivate culture through our work at Sacred Heart Academy, we are faced with the fact that many who desire to be part of SHA, or truly need this apostolate in their lives, are unable to afford it. Jesus commanded His followers to bring the children to Him. He did not qualify that command with “only those who can afford it.” A “reasonable rate” of tuition will never fully fund the average cost to form students. Many families cannot afford, even with great sacrifice, a reasonable rate. We are committed to making Sacred Heart Academy accessible to all who desire it for their children.
One major way we have long expressed this commitment to serving families is a scholarship program called Patronis Cordis, “Patrons of the Heart,” dedicated to supporting tuition assistance for our community. As parents are the primary educators of their children, the Academy must become an extension of the home– hence the first objective of our mission, “to assist families.” Each academic year, we strive to provide our families a combined $650,000 in aid.
Our Annual Fund
The mission of Sacred Heart Academy is made possible through investment in our Annual Fund, and the extent of our work and service of families is directly proportional to your generosity. Every cent of the money invested in the Sacred Heart Academy Annual Fund goes to the formation of students at Sacred Heart Academy. Investment in the Annual Fund allows Sacred Heart to maintain a reasonable rate of tuition for families and to provide substantial financial assistance to those who need it each school year through our traditional Patronis Cordis scholarships. The realization of the SHA Annual Fund and its aims are necessary for the continued mission of Sacred Heart Academy. We cannot do this without you.
