Peter DeWitt

Mr. DeWitt grew up in the great small town of Dimondale, Michigan, just outside of Lansing. In 2005 he attended GVSU, lived in a house on Valley Street and started attending Sacred Heart of Jesus. He married his wife Sara at Sacred Heart and they have been parishioners ever since. Mr. DeWitt has a Bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University where he majored in History and minored in English, with an emphasis in education. He is certified to teach in the state of Michigan, having spent five years teaching at Hackett Catholic Central in Kalamazoo MI and ten years at Grand Rapids Catholic Central; seven teaching and three as Dean of Student Life/Assistant Principal. Mr. DeWitt has recently been named Assistant Headmaster and will serve in this role going forward. He and his wife Sara have two children in the Academy and a new baby on the way in early December. Mr. DeWitt enjoys The Lord of the Rings.
