Helen Kennedy

We are pleased to welcome Mrs. Helen Kennedy as the Front Office Administrative Assistant for the Academy. Mrs. Kennedy was born in Minnesota, but grew up in a small town in Ohio in a small Catholic family. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in German and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Ohio University. She also earned a MA in German Studies from Ohio State University and a MATESOL from the University of Washington. Before moving from the Seattle area to Grand Rapids, Mrs. Kennedy was the Communications Coordinator at her parish for 1.5 years. She also has experience working in higher education, teaching English and German language courses, as well as working with assessment. She and her husband have two young children who will be attending Sacred Heart Academy. She loves traveling and has a passion for German language and culture. She enjoys baking and wearing her dinosaur costume, but not always at the same time.
